Biography
Dr. Dev Rajan, DVM
Dr. Rajan being born in India had an innate reverence towards cows and other livestock. He clearly understood the human-animal bond and interdependence which motivated him to pursue his studies in Veterinary Science in 1989.
After graduating in 1995, Dr. Rajan started his own mixed animal practice in Chennai, India. Within a short period, the client volume multiplied exponentially, enhancing his medical, surgical and handling skills.
After his graduation in 2005, he worked for major organizations like Banfield, Houston SPCA, and SNAP. He found his real passion in performing high-volume spay and neuter surgeries in the shelter. He went to work for ‘Spay Houston’ and ‘Abandoned Animal Rescue’. Dr. Rajan found his life’s purpose in performing high-volume sterilization surgeries which would ultimately prevent euthanasia due to pet over-population.
Dr. Rajan’s motto has always been: ‘When passion and skill work together expect a masterpiece’.
Marina Carbone, LVT – Office Manager and Senior Technician
Marina graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in 2013. After completing an externship at Westbury Animal Hospital, she spent a year there as an emergency technician, and also as a lab technician. She joined Palm to Paws in 2014 as Head Technician before she was promoted to the Office Manager. Her favorite parts of veterinary medicine are surgery, pathology, and emergency. She married her soulmate Joseph in 2017 and together they have a baby named Leo.
Alegandra Garcia – Veterinary Technician
Ale’ was born in Harlington, TX and raised in Houston, TX. She has been with Palm to Paws since 2018 after graduating from Vet Tech Institute of Houston. She enjoys being a part of the surgery team. Her family includes her husband, son, and a rescue cat and snake. She hopes to keep her pet family growing.
