We offer in-house blood work and x-rays to those patients who may require a complete work up. Routine blood work is recommended yearly for pets. Blood tests provide a way for us to determine the internal health of our loved ones. As animals age, they have an increased risk of developing diseases such as kidney failure, thyroid disease, and diabetes. Often times, disease processes are not obvious from the outside. Regular blood work allows us to catch diseases of the internal organs before they become a major problem.
Blood work is also recommended prior to surgical procedures to determine the health of the liver and kidneys prior to anesthesia.
